In collaboration with Holocaust Studies: A Journal of Culture and History, the British Association for Holocaust Studies was founded in August 2013 to promote the study of the Holocaust in British schools, colleges and universities. Our network provides effective links between scholars, teachers and other researchers and educators in order to enhance the teaching and study of the Holocaust in the UK.

We are committed to the belief that greater understanding of the Holocaust is key to the promotion of a safe and tolerant society, and to ensuring that the horrors of genocide are not repeated. We recognise that to fully achieve these aims the study of the Holocaust in the United Kingdom requires a holistic approach that brings together educators in all levels and sectors of the education system.
